A video card, also known as a graphics accelerator card, display adapter, or graphics card, is an expansion card whose function is
to generate and output images to a display. Some video cards offer added functions, such as video capture, TV tuner adapter,
MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 decoding, FireWire, light pen, TV output, or the ability to connect multiple monitors.

GeForce GTX 275

Chances are pretty good that you have just read our ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB review, as well... ATI has something new to offer for you guys in a 270 USD price level segment. Obviously, as expected, NVIDIA was awaiting that release and on the very same day decided to launch a new product onto the market as well. The product is the one you guys obviously heard about for a while now, the GeForce GTX 275.

Positioned slightly cheaper compared to the new ATI product, NVIDIA launches the GeForce GTX 275 as a reaction to show and flex their rendering muscle. Now I know that some of you guys might think otherwise, but trust me when I say, this is a really interesting move from NVIDIA as there is a trick or two going on this new GeForce GTX 275.

First of all it's using the very same 55nm GPU as the GeForce GTX 285, with the full 240 Shader processors. With that in mind try to imagine the GeForce GTX 285 with the memory configuration of a GeForce GTX 260, 896 MB 448-bit... and there you have your GTX 275.

Now here's the really interesting thing. The GTX 275 cards are clocked fairly high on the core and shader domains (compared to the GTX 260), making this product very fast. In fact it will even come close to the GTX 285, yet at a significantly lower price, that price being 249 USD or 239 EUR.

So all in all this is definitely stuff interesting enough to check out we say! This article will go over the reference model GeForce GTX 275, armed with 896MB of memory. We'll take it head to head against ATI's latest offering, the Radeon HD 4890, and will see what the GTX 275 brings to the table in terms of value for that hard earned commodity of ours, money. Have a peek at the actual product below, and then we'll dive into an overview, specifications and well... all other tests. Grab some coffee, you are in for a ride because as always, you are on Guru3D.com... and we'll fill 'er up with information, yes... that brain of yours

How To Get a good Traffic To Your Web Site

Written by nightbird on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 7:25 AM

Positively the most excruciating question on site owners minds is: how to increase web site traffic? It is possible to immediately get web site traffic rank by opting for paid ads but this can become very expensive for most site owners. For this reason, we are going to look into some other strategies to get traffic to your website

Digging To Get More Site Visitors

Digg is a fabulous social site for you to add abridged versions of your article post. It shouldn’t take long to show up on Digg’s highly esteemed pages, once more providing a possible improvement to your website traffic.

Manipulate Your Email List To Get The Most Web Traffic

What do you mean you don’t have your own list still? Astonishingly lots website owners don’t have their own email list. The ideal thing about mailing lists is you can pre-load a series of automated messages, or you can transmit a press release at whenever you wish encouraging your readers to come back to your site for the latest special offer or piece of advice and voila, an instant boost to your web traffic.

Joint Venturing To Get Top Web Traffic Ranking

Beening part of a joint venture can dramatically increase your web traffic with very little effort. If you get a message from another email list owner which has a matching service to yours, then why not find out if you can offer them something of value to them to offer their members by way of reciprocation. This could be a discounted product where you can split the takings with your JV partner.
Suppose your JV partner has hundreds of subscribers on their email lists - this would make for an ideal tactic to get the most web
traffic.

As one can grasp from the tactics previous, sourcing way to get traffic to web site isn’t hard, but a little bit of determined effort is
required.

10 Quick and Easy Ways To Earn Extra Money Online

Written by nightbird on at 7:21 AM

The state of the economy these days along with the sky high price of Gas, groceries and other necessities of life, many people are finding that their money isn’t making it as far as it once did. So it’s not surprising that many people are turning to the Internet to make money fast. With Winter just around the corner, many people are worrying about how they will pay their Winter heating bill. Some have already been surprised by unexpected large energy bills. This leaves some families scrambling to find ways to make money fast in order to prevent something from going unpaid.

Here are quick and easy ways to make money on the Internet. Will you get rich? No. But you just might bring in a few hundred dollars a month and maybe keep your lights on this Winter!

Project Payday

Chances most of you know how to use a computer to surf the Internet. That’s about the only requirement to make money with Project Payday, well, other than your time. I’ve personally used it as has my Wife and can tell you that it’s one of the easiest, legitimate ways to make money online that I have found.

Project Payday is free to sign up for and they have loads of free training Video’s and even a mentoring program to help people get started. I’d highly suggest you watch the video’s and even consider the mentoring program to maximize your income opportunities. You can expect to get offers in the $15 to $30 range. I’ve seen some as high as $60 though. Most people can do several offers a day once they get the hang of it and get their routine down, which usually takes about a day or so. Click here to learn more about Project Payday.

Ebay

No article about making money online would be complete without mention of eBay. While it’s not as good as it once was for the person looking to make money fast on the Internet, it still allows many people to stay home and make a darn good income from selling goods online.

You can find goods to sell on eBay on Craigslist, Garage Sales, Big Box stores like Sam’s and Costco and in your own home. I bet most of us have stuff we haven’t used in months that could be auctioned off on eBay to make a quick dollar or two.

One resource that really helped me boost my eBay sales was the Ebay For Dummies Starter Kit. It’s free, but I think I had to pay something like $1.97 for shipping & handling. You get a load of information with this kit. It will give you the inside scoop on places to find goods to sell on eBay like drop shippers and wholesalers, tricks to getting higher bids on the goods you sell, tips on finding the hot sellers on eBay and how to drive traffic to your auction pages along with a lot more information. In the past, I’ve paid a lot of money than $2 for a lot less information than this from other companies. If you’re serious about turning eBay into a part time or full time income resource, I’d highly recommend this Starter Kit. Click Here to find out more on eBay For Dummies if your serious about making an income from eBay.

Freelance Yourself

There are any number of places on the Internet where you can go and sign up as a freelance writer. Many people do not realize that there is a great demand for Writers due to the need for Content on the Internet. I myself buy a lot of articles written by several of these services. Businesses, Internet Marketers and mainstream sites like About.com all use freelance writers. The best part is, you don’t have to be an expert writer in most cases.

One of these services, Freelance Home Writers, is a membership site that you join to access databases of companies looking for writers. You then pick and choose which writing jobs you want and just pass over the ones you don’t want. Typically you’ll be writing Blog post and Content articles for Websites. However you can get the chance to write fiction and non-fiction story’s as well. They also have several other opportunities for you to make money on the Internet. That’s pretty good money for people who can turn out a few articles per day. Currently they’re running a $2.97 for a 7 day trial. This is cheap enough to get in and see the writing opportunities they have as well as the other programs to make money at home. Click Here to find out more about this opportunity.

Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk is described as a job board where people post jobs machines can not do. When I go and browse the site, I see jobs (called HITS “Human Intelligence Task“) ranging from writing articles to filling out surveys and going and writing reviews on websites. Most of what I’ve seen is easy stuff.

Don’t expect a huge payment for this kind of work. The majority of HITS pay anywhere from $1 to $10. Having said that, from what I’ve seen, most can be completed within a few minutes to perhaps an hour at the most.

Money is paid directly to your Amazon Mechanical Turk account. Obviously, if you don’t have an account there, you’ll have to set one up. From what I understand, once your account has $10 in it, you can withdraw the money.

Etsy

Do you create crafts? Etsy is a huge online marketplace where people sell their crafts. Since it draws people looking for handmade products or craft supplies, Sellers find it more profitable for many crafts than eBay.

My Wife and Mother-In-Law have sold many items on Etsy including quilts and hand sewn dolls. They received pretty respectable prices for their items, much more than what they received on eBay for items of similar nature.

As I guy, I have to admit there are some pretty interesting handmade crafts on that site. Some will make you scratch you head and wonder how anyone could make such a thing! If you have some crafts laying around you could get rid of, or if you could make some up quickly, then this might be the outlet for you to make money fast.

Craigslist

I love Craigslist! Mostly for the cool stuff I buy off of it in my local area. But Craigslist can also be a Goldmine if you’ll put the time into it. I call the method I use to make money from Craigslist “Craigslist Arbitrage” because this is how it works.

I scan the Free section of Craigslist looking for valuable things people are giving away. If you live near a large Metro area, you’ll simply be amazed at what others will give away just to get rid of it. You need to be quick, because others are doing the same thing you are! Once you pick up your Freebies, turn around and put them back on Craigslist for sale at a below market price. Chances are they’ll go quick and you’ll have made some quick cash.

I first learned of this when we were moving and I was trying to score free moving boxes. I was constantly amazed at how quick they would go until someone told me people do nothing more than drive around grabbing up free boxes and turning around and selling them for $1 or more per box. The same goes for Furniture, electronics and other items. You need to be sitting at your computer refreshing the FREE page often. You can also find great deals in other areas of Craigslist so don’t just spend all your time in the FREE section.

Sell Ebooks

Do you have a particular skill or knowledge? Maybe Award winning recipes? Special technique for training dogs? Then write an ebook. Don’t care or don’t think you have the skills to write an ebook? Then find a freelancer at one of the places mentioned above. Don’t think your idea will sell? You’d be surprised! I know of one gentleman who does quite well ($1000+ per month) selling an ebook on raising Tomatoes. Nuff said!

But if none of these thrill you, then there are places like BestChoiceForEbooks.Com where you can buy the Master Resell Rights to
ebooks, software and other products and rebrand them for yourself and sell them. You get to keep all the profits! You can sell them
on eBay, Craigslist or set up a PayPal order page and advertise your products. There are hundreds of ways to drive traffic to your sales
page so don’t get stuck in a rut! Get yourself a network of sites specific to each product and promote the crap out of it to bring in some
quick money.

Become a Go To Guru

Getting back to those special skills or knowledge you have, have you ever thought about becoming a Consultant? Everywhere you
look these days, there are consultants for this and that. Consultants for organizing a home, creating a baby’s room, throwing wedding
showers and the list goes on.

You’d be surprised at how much people will pay for information that they need and need quick! Show your community that you’re an
expert in your field and they’ll beat a path to your door.

One great thing about this business is that it’s easy and inexpensive to start. You can do it part time, in the Evenings or on weekends
right from your home. Over time you may find your “part time” job is making more money than your “real” job!

Have Camera, Will Take Photo’s

Do you like taking pictures with your digital camera? Have you thought about selling them but thought you weren’t good enough
because you’re not a “professional”? Have to fear. Many people make extra money fast by selling their pictures online.

Websites like BigStockPhoto, ShutterStock, Fotolia and others pay you each time one of your photo’s are downloaded. Many
of these sites pay anywhere from 25 cents per photo downloaded to a percentage of the commission on specialty photo’s.

Photographers who do this type of work are called Stock Photographers and the Photo’s they take are known as micro stock.
It’s the same kind of pictures you’ll see on this site. Although 25 cents per photo doesn’t sound like much (some sites pay more),
consider that you may have thousands of photo’s uploaded. One of the best know Stock Photographers is pulling down $300 or
more a day from just one of the Stock Photography websites!

Another huge advantage of taking stock photography is that your photo’s keep making you money over and over and over.
One of the best residual income generators on the Web. Not only is this making money fast, it’s making money fast again and
again!

Small Business Web Design

With all the WYSIWYG web generation software out there today, just about anyone can make a website. Plus with programs
like WordPress and Premium Themes, building an attractive and functional website is easier than ever.

There are Small Businesses everywhere looking for simple and functional sites. Many believe they have to spend thousands
on a website. If you can go in and show them that they can have a eye appealing website that is functional and brings in customers
for a few hundred bucks, they’ll be telling everyone they know.

I know one lady who makes these type of websites for small businesses and she does very well. They’re simple 5 to 10 page
websites built on CSS or WordPress and I believe she charges for the most high end site is around $700. She says her bread
and butter websites are the $300 to $500 websites and she has a waiting list! Small businesses need great deals on quality products
. Give them a well constructed, functional website and you’ll have Customers for life. Plus, she also gets to do all their updating as they
grow! Talk about a business model that makes money fast!

There you have it. 10 ways to make money fast. They’re quick and easy ways to earn extra money online plus you don’t have to be
highly skilled or put up a lot of money. What more could a person want in work at home business?

Dragonball: Evolution

Written by nightbird on at 7:06 AM

Goku and a handful of friends battle for the Earth against the deadly forces of the Saiyans, who are sweeping across the universe, leaving a path of destruction. Goku and his friends' best chance for survival rests with the Namekian DragonBalls, which provide them the power to summon a mighty dragon.

According to the paper, the production budget was only 45 million, much less than the previous $100 million estimates. What this means is the film has already made about half its budget back in Asia alone.

There’s really no doubt now that the film will be profitable, and so sequels are a definite possibility. Chatwin (Goku) and James Marsters (Piccolo) who were incredibly enthusiastic about the idea… Marsters even wants 6 more films!

Meanwhile, Chatwin is also obviously thinking about Dragonball as a series of movies, with the actor seeing Evolution as an introduction piece to the wider universe.
He said: “There’s a whole generation of kids waiting to be introduced to Dragonball, so this first movie is really important for that. I mean the main plot is the battle between Piccolo and Goku, but this first film still serves to introduce the characters and where they’re from and what they’re deals are. And so to cover that ground really takes up most of the first movie.”

He goes on: “I know what they have in store for the second one and it’s really cool! It’s more in the vein of the Dragonball saga… it goes into other places, there’s other characters, other fighters and there’s a lot of action that is just really awesome.

Next Windows OS is Windows 7

Written by nightbird on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 7:22 AM

Windows 7 will be the next release of Microsoft Windows, an operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, netbooks and media center PCs.Microsoft stated in 2007 they were planning Windows 7 development for a three-year time frame starting after the release of its predecessor,
Windows Vista. Microsoft has stated that the final release date would be determined by product quality.

Nash noted that after starting with a logical, if nerdy sounding, version numbering system the company then moved on from names like “Windows 3.11” to naming the OS by its year of release. This worked for Windows 95 through ‘98 until it was deemed impractical by the Redmond Giant, since it didn’t ship new versions every year. Next came what Nash calls "the aspirational monikers” stage in which the Vole tried to be clever, cool and, er, random.

Windows Me supposedly stood both for the Millennium and “me, myself and I”. It was also a bit crap, so the company quickly binned it and came up with Windows XP in 2001. No one knew what XP stood for [er, eXPerience, wasn't it? Ed.], but it sounded techy and funky, so it stuck.

Windows Vista continued in the totally random and meaningless name trend, only remotely useful name-wise for when we all happily shout “hasta la vista” when we chuck it out the, er, Window.

And so now comes Windows 7, a name which supposedly reflects the build numbers as opposed to actual releases. Some think the new naming scheme could be an indication Microsoft wants to speed up release rates and up the competition with Apple, while others think that another bombastic name would take up too much media attention, drowning Vista once and for all.

Unlike its predecessor, Windows 7 is intended to be an incremental upgrade from Vista, with the goal of being fully compatible with device drivers, applications, and hardware with which Windows Vista is already compatible.

New technology :Magnetic RAM technology announced

Written by nightbird on at 7:17 AM

The engineers and physicists in German have made a prototype of an advanced RAM system that nears the theoretical speed limit for the process. NewScientistTech report, this technology – known as Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory (MRAM) – is claimed to be faster and more efficient then RAM currentlyavailable. Some companies speculate the capabilities and low power consumption of MRAM may push the mobile market in the years to come. So far, however, the technology is in experimental stages at the moment, and is not available for distribution.

"This is the most significant memory introduction in this decade," said Will Strauss, an analyst with research firm Forward Concepts.

"This is radically new technology. People have been dabbling in this for years, but nobody has been able to make it in volume."
Standard RAM stores the binary 1 or 0 as the level of charge in a capacitor. MRAM stores the 1 or 0 as the polarity direction (North-South) in small magnets. Each magnet that can be flipped is situated next to a fixed magnet, the data is recovered by passing an electric current through the pair to read the direction of the field.

The particular type of MRAM prototyped here uses spins of electrons to flip the field. Santiago Serrano-Guisan and Hans Schumacher from the Physical-Technical Federal Laboratory in Germany collaborated with University of Bielefeld and Singulus Nano-Deposition Technologies to create a spin-torque system they claim is faster than any other. The speed of the system depends on how fast the magnetic field can be flipped. As the polarity is changed the field can flip a few times before settling, reducing speed, but these researches have developed a way to eliminate the extra wobble. They claim this advancement reaches the theoretical limit of speed for MRAM.

One of the researchers suggested the speed of other MRAM devices are limited to 10 nanosecond pulses, claiming the new technology prototyped here is ten times faster than that. The researchers also noted that some conventional RAM requires 30 nanoseconds for a comparable operation. Currents used in the tested device were too electrically dense to be used in MRAM circuits. Researchers will have to advance their technology to reduce currents to levels compatible with CMOS transistors.

Flash memory can also store data without power but MRAM has faster read/ write speeds and does not degrade over time. Austin-based Freescale has been working on this technology for almost ten years. It will be interesting to see how the price of VRAM compares to the expensive flash memory.

Intel's desktop CPU

Written by nightbird on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 10:36 AM

Desktop CPUs of INTEL will be coming down in price over the next few months, with some cuts as high as 20% planned, according to DigiTimes. The price cuts would affect many products in Intel's Core 2 line, including higher end units like the Q9550S and some lower end units like the E7500. Several Pentiums will also be brought down in price, like the dual core E300, which will be somewhere around $65. For the ultra-cheap market, the Celeron dual core E1500 will drop down to a mere $43, making it one of the cheapest dual-core CPUs available.

The price cuts are most likely in response to planned deployment of some newer models, which will hit the market with higher prices. These are primarily Core i7 CPUs, such as the 3.33GHz i7 975, which is expected to have a price tag north of $1,000. Intel will also be introducing some newer budget CPUs, including a slightly faster dual core Celeron, the E1600.

2.0GHz Atom CPU launched by intel on next month

Written by nightbird on at 10:29 AM

Intel planning to expand its Atom range of processors with a couple new models for the Z500 series that will alternately raise

performance and lower power consumption compared to existing chips. Unlike the Atom N200 series, these processors are normally
reserved for UMPCs and MIDs, but that is not to say they haven’t found their way into a netbook or two already, like the
Sony Vaio P for example.
First up is the Z550, which will boost the maximum clock speed from 1.86GHz to 2GHz while still needing
no more than 2.4W of power and claiming an average consumption of 0.22W. This will allow the chip run in the same environments
as the currently available Z540 and should likewise keep the same 533MHz bus and 512K L2 cache of the older part. Meanwhile,
the Z515 will target smaller devices with a dynamic clock speed ranging between 800Mhz and 1.2GHz and peak power consumption
of only 0.65W and 1.4W respectively.
Average power consumption for the latter would purportedly sit at around 0.16W, which is pretty
impressive, but it is also expected to come with a slower 400MHz system bus and a 100MHz slower graphics core. The new
processors will reportedly start shipping next month – perhaps faster N-series CPUs are on the way too?
